Pick a class, any class

Today I spent the afternoon doing some banking, a little cleaning, and looking at classes for next year.

I was annoyed to discover that half the classes I wanted to take weren't being offered this year, some not even next year.

I think this is stupid. If you're going to employ a prof, and have a class at your university, it should be offered each year. What good is Europe from the 14th century on to me if I haven't had the chance to take Europe from the 5th to 14th century? It was there last year, but decided to take a vacation this year.

I don't get the point. This mostly makes me angry because I wanted to take Russia-PreRevolution....Because I really enjoy learning about Imperialist Russia. But no, not offered this year, tough luck...You can take history of the USSR instead, and stop whining.

Jerks.

I'll take Contemporary Literature. Doesn't that sound like a good class that would have great discussions?

Maybe they are taking a year to rewrite 6-14th century European history? Next year absolutely nothing worth while will have come out of the West (not that I agree with this, but people would want to teach that to students).

Sarah: Sometimes the word contemporary scares me a bit....never know what they'll be whiping out with that one!
Ryan: They have about 12 different US history classes...but in the spirit of knowning my socialist teachers will only warp it all to pin point the exact moment that you can foretell the collapse and downfall of the USA, I will probably avoid the classes...besides, my American Colonialism class last semester bored the heck out of me...might have been the prof though.

What do you think would be more boring:

A class on Colonial USA

or

Living in Colonial USA?

Probably the class....I'd be in danger of being burnt at the stake for washing too much....mom says I spend too much time in the shower.
What can I say?

Plus, being part native, I would have been filled with curiosity...then small pox.
